<b><u>D</u></b>estructive <b><u>D</u></b>ecisions. SADD's mission is to
provide information and food for thought on topics of concern to young
people such as drugs and alcohol, violence, suicide, harassment, and
unhealthy relationships. Our expanded philosophy recognizes the importance
of people making informed choices about their behaviors and beliefs. We
respect the differences that make us unique, and we recognize the
challenges of today's youth.</p>

students and the larger Needham community regarding the dangers of at-risk
behaviors.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>While the issues
that SADD addresses are serious, students find the process of working with
their peers as well as the activities fun, challenging, and a great way to
get to know people.<o:p>

is a collaboration between the Needham Youth Commission and Needham High
School.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Formerly known as
"Students Against Driving Drunk",<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</span>the "<i>new SADD</i>" has moved beyond the issue of
drinking and driving to a range of
risk-taking behaviors.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>SADD
activities include providing information and awareness campaigns such as
"<i>Grim Reaper Day</i>" (a memorial to victims of drunk driving
accidents), assisting with the Great American Smoke-Out, and bringing
special events to Needham such as "<i>The Yellow Dress</i>" (a
play addressing the issue of teen dating violence).<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">
