seasonal staff throughout
the year to conduct programs offered by the department.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</span>Summer staff is interviewed in the winter, and most positions are

staff is interviewed and hired on an as needed basis.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</span>Hourly rates are set by the Town of Needham Personnel Board, and
all staff members working with children and senior citizens must undergo a

ages 11 and up are welcome to become volunteers at Park and Recreation�s
Summer Programs or at the department�s swim lessons at Rosemary Pool.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</span>Informational packets are available, each year, by April 1<sup>st</sup>.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</span>The packets include an application, a personal reference form, a
schedule availability form, and frequently asked questions.<span style="mso-spacerun:
yes"> </span>The deadline for submitting applications is listed in each
year�s Winter/Spring brochure, and is normally in early June.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</span>Each volunteer is sent information by late May regarding the
mandatory training session that each volunteer must participate in.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</span>Schedules are given at the training session, and will include
information on how to schedule additional volunteer hours after the
standard 15 hours is completed.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Those
students that volunteer for Needham High School credits must also apply
with Mrs. Ayoub at Needham High School.<o:p>
