<p>The conference will be held at the Wailea Marriott, a gracious oceanfront
property in the beautiful resort area of Wailea.<span style="mso-spacerun:
yes"> </span>Since the month of February is the peak of the high season
in Hawaii, <b>it is imperative for attendees to make lodging arrangements as
soon as possible</b><span style='font-weight:normal'>.<span
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>The conference has negotiated a group
rate of $159 single/double for a limited number of ocean view rooms.<span
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>This is an excellent rate for the
Wailea area and is also within the maximum lodging allowance for government
travelers.</span></p>
<p><b>LATEST NEWS – 31 December 2003<o:p></o:p></b></p>
<p>The Wailea Marriott is no longer offering the group rate.<span
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Due to the tremendous response to this
conference, our room block sold out in November.<span style="mso-spacerun:
yes"> </span>While the hotel has graciously doubled our room block, we
have again sold out.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>The
prevailing rates at the Marriott are currently $228 (garden view) – 318 (ocean
front).</p>
<p>Alternate lodging has been arranged at the beautiful <a
href="http://www.mauiprince.com/mph/">Maui Prince Hotel</a> in Makena.<span
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>This secluded beachfront resort is
roughly 3 miles south of the Wailea Marriott, a 5–10 minute drive.<span
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Complimentary shuttle service to the
Wailea area is provided.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>The hotel
is offering a generous rate of $155 single/double for partial ocean view on a
block of 20 rooms.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Reservations
must be made before 9 January 2004, at which time the block will be
released.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Then the special rate
will be honored on a space available basis.<span style="mso-spacerun:

<p><b>AREA DESCRIPTION</b></p>
<p>Wailea is an elegant, master-planned resort consisting of highly touted
resort hotels, luxurious condominiums and private homes, spectacularly scenic
golf courses that host PGA events, and an upscale retail shopping and fine
dining center.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Nestled in the rain
shadow of 10,023 ft Haleakala, the area enjoys the sunny and balmy conditions
characteristic of South Maui.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</span>Temperatures in February are usually in the 70s.<span
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Fronting the azure Pacific are five
lovely crescent-shaped golden sand beaches and a wonderfully scenic 1.5-mile
paved pathway connecting the resorts and beaches.<span style="mso-spacerun:
yes"> </span>Sightings of humpback whales are common along this walk in

neighbor islands of Lanai, Molokai, Kahoolawe, and Molokini, a crescent-shaped
