AAS 97-170

LEQG AND GAME THEORETIC SATELLITE ATTITUDE CONTROL WITH MAGNETIC TORQUER

C-H Won, Electronics & Telecommunications Research Institute, Korea

Abstract
An effective way to control a satellite's attitude is to use magnetic torque control to handle two different disturbances: the external disturbance torque due to such factors as aerodynamic drag, gravity gradient, and solar radiation pressure; and the disturbance caused by the uncertainties in parameters such as moment of inertia, control parameters and magnetic field variation. In this paper, we propose to use two different ways to model these disturbances, and use two distinct robust control strategies for each model. These control strategies are Risk-Sensitive control, a generalization of the Linear Quadratic Gaussian control, and the Game Theoretic control.
