<h2> Abstract </h2>
A model to study the transverse vibrations of a shallow spherical shell with a set of piezoceramic strips bonded to its surface is developed. The voltages that must be applied to the different strips in order to control the shell vibrations are determined. The influence of the location of the actuators on vibration control is studied. Effect of the applied voltages on the uncontrolled modes is also examined.
