<h2> Abstract </h2>
This paper investigates the effect of the out-of-plane dynamics on the orbit determination of a two-body tethered satellite system. Results from a problem specific computer simulation of the tethered satellite system dynamics are compared with the results from a general multibody dynamics program using the same tethered satellite system model. Orbit determination is carried out using results from the problem specific simulation.
