AAS 96-136

CANONICAL ELEMENTS FOR PERTURBED ORBITAL MOTIOIN USING AN ARBITRARY TIME PARAMETER

L. Floria, Universidad de Valladolid, Spain

Abstract
Delaunay-like transformation normalize a class of perturbed Keplerian systems (of the type of the Deprit radial intermediaries for the Main Problem in Satellite Theory) and allow us to derive sets of generalized Delaunay and Delaunay-Similar variables (with an arbitrary pseudo-time as the independent argument), incorporating some perturbing effects into their definitions, both in the elliptic and in the hyperbolic perturbed case.
A differential transformation of the time parameter, generalizing the Sundman transformation, introduces a generic anomaly-like parameter as the independent variable. With appropriate selections of the reparametrizing function involved in the time transformation, specific anomalies are put in the place of the independent variable.
