<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> <html> <head> <title>Ippokratis Kantzios, PhD</title> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <link href="../../css/site.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"> </head> <body class="MainText" bgcolor="FCF5D8"> <font class="MainTitle">Niki Kantzios, PhD</font><br><br> Niki Holmes Kantzios, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, received her MA and PhD in Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology at Bryn Mawr College, where she was the recipient of the Mellon Fellowship for Graduate Studies in the Humanities, and a BA in Classical Studies, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has participated in excavations at Kommos, Crete, and Sepphoris, Israel. Her teaching experience includes courses taught in the anthropology and history departments at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey (Introduction to Ancient Civilizations; Classical Archaeology; Biblical Archaeology), and in the World Language Education and Humanities Departments at the University of South Florida (Latin I and II; Women in Antiquity; Golden Age of Athens; World After Alexander, etc.). She has also conducted classes in archaeology and ancient life for school children from grade six to high school.<br><br> As an archaeological artist, Dr. Kantzios has illustrated many articles and excavations reports, and done artwork for the University of Pennsylvania Museum. She has served as an officer of the Archaeological Institute of America in Dallas and Philadelphia, and participated in professional conferences, including the Fourth International Congress on Phoenician and Punic Studies in Spain. She served as Director of Archives and Publications for the AFGLC for three years, and is currently Educational Programs Coordinator and president of the Tampa Center.<br><br> </body> </html>
