  <p> Worked from 1959-1990 for the American Embassy in Athens, Greece at the 
    Consular Section. She is a retiree of the State Department. In 1990, she started 
    her own import-export business, dealing with handcrafted artifacts from Greece.</p>
  <p>Since 1994 she has been actively involved with AFGLC activities, promoting 
    the aims of the Foundation in Greece and in the US.</p>
  <p><b>AWARDS AND COMMENDATIONS;</b></p>
  <p> 1990: Awarded special Immigrant Status by the Secretary of State. Washington, 
    D.C.</p>
  <p> 1989: Awarded an official recognition & appreciation for completion of 30 
    years of service, by the Department of State </p>
  <p>1988: Outstanding Service Award for 1988 for her continued conscientious 
    & excellent support for the Athens Suboffice, by the American Embassy of Rome, 
    Italy</p>
  <p> 1984: official recognition & appreciation for completion of 10, 20, & 25 
    years </p>
  <p>1979; (respectively) of service with the US Government, by the Department 
    of State </p>
  <p>1967: Certificate of Appreciation for outstanding perfom"ance of duty, by
