<font color="#FFCCCC">ICHS</font>
will assist in establishing and promoting the study of Hellenism at the
University of South Florida through the many fields that def<font face="Times Roman">ine
Greek society and culture. This would include anthropology, art, classical
archaeology, history, Greek language and literature, philosophy, politics
and Orthodox religion. The </font><font color="#FFCCCC">ICHS</font> will
also provide enrichment opportunities for students and faculty through
interaction with other programs and scholars in the US and abroad. In order
to achieve its mission, the <font color="#FFCCCC">ICHS</font> may:</blockquote>

assist in the publishing of scholarly works through small grants.</li>
</ul>
</ul>
</ul>

assist in establishing and organizing visiting positions or exchange programs
for prominent scholars in various aspects of Hellenic studies and culture.</li>

apply for funding from granting agencies external to the University of
South Florida.</li>
</ul>

help to establish interdisciplinary degree programs at USF relating to
various aspects of Hellenism at the undergraduate and graduate levels.</li>

utilize the internet and other distance learning technologies as they relate
to its mission.</li>

eventually publish an academic journal devoted to aspects of Hellenism.</li>

    are wide, inclusive and diachronic, representing all aspects of Hellenic culture 
    in all of its long period of existence. This would include (but would not 
    be limited to) the disciplines of anthropology, art, classical archaeology, 
    history, Greek language and literature, philosophy, politics and Orthodox 
    religion. </p>
