<p>Dr. Nicholas Demetrios Matsakis, Senior Advisor of the ICHS Center at the
University of Missouri, St. Louis, is a successful dentist and is well recognized
for his substantial contributions to the Greek-American and Cyprian communities.
He received his D.D.S. from the Washington University School of Dentistry,
maintained a successful practice, and is a member of multiple dental associations
both in America and abroad. While serving as the Honorary Consul of Cyprus
from 1970 to 1993, he was given a tribute by her Excellency, Dr. Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis
for his lifetime dedication to the Cyprus cause for freedom and justice. Dr.
Matsakis is also a member of the Hellenic Spirit Foundation, the Hellenic
Society of St. Louis, AHEPA, and a founding member of the American Hellenic
Institute in Washington, D.C. </p>
