As tax department supervisor, Anne helped the firm to pass legislation in Virginia and Maryland, allowing reciprocal historic rehabilitation tax credits between the states. She also has spearheaded the firm's involvement in a special program with the IRS, enhancing the firm's problem-solving capabilities. In addition, Anne was part of an internal team that upgraded income tax and fixed asset software programs. Her experience with partnerships and LLCs includes reviewing partnership and LLC agreements and advising clients on income and tax consequences. Her career also includes extensive experience in the tax department of a Syracuse, NY-based firm, where her clients included real estate investors and developers, construction subcontractors, automobile and heavy equipment dealers, as well as retail stores, restaurants and manufacturing. She also has extensive experience in S-corporations, C-corporations, partnerships, individual taxes and multi-state returns, as well as with non-profit organizations and employee benefit plans. Anne spearheaded special projects, including business valuations and business plans, and conducted an annual tax update class for the firm's audit staff. As an accountant at a St. James, NY public accounting firm, Anne specialized in the areas of payroll taxes, sales taxes and individual and business taxes. Her small business clientele included professionals, landscape and construction contractors, restaurants, retail stores and manufacturers. Anne received a Masters of Administration from the Graduate School of Management at The University of California at Davis, and a Bachelor of Science at Cornell University.
