Of particular interest is peptide engineering, enzyme engineering and molecular mechanics modeling. At ABTECH we are engaged in the systematic and thorough study of the interactions of DNA with different material surfaces. We have developed "engineered surfaces" possessing specific functional group chemistry and are studying the kinetics and equilibrium adsorption of DNA onto these surfaces. You will study the adsorption of oligomeric strands of DNA onto engineered surfaces using Quartz Crystal Nanogravimetry (QCN) and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM).
